Eave is an award-winning technology company changing hearing conservation in heavy industry through smart protective equipment. We develop game changing products that enable our customers to protect their workforce operating in hazardous environments. Our dual hardware/software IOT solution combines smart hearing defenders along with a SaaS platform providing data insights across a visual dashboard so our customers can make informed decisions to better support employee welfare.
A bit about the role:
Having undergone a period of transformation and change, we’re looking for a new CEO to drive the business through Series A funding and into further growth and expansion. You will be supported by the board of directors to include the founder, investors and members of the venture capital teams. While Eave primarily exists in the construction sector at the moment, the potential for growth and expansion is huge: this is what makes this role so exciting.
Key responsibilities
- Leading the team through new funding rounds to include engaging with potential investors and shareholders
- Developing the strategy for the expansion of Eave: this is likely to include international expansion through Europe to start with as well as exploring potential new markets
- Delivering results for our existing shareholders
- Working closely with the CFO, COO and Head of Product to define and articulate strategic direction and vision for the business
- Motivating and inspiring our people
A bit about you:
We’re looking for someone who is driven, dynamic and effective. Great at building relationships with a focus on ‘getting stuff done’. We are collaborative and encouraging: our dream CEO builds people up and enables and champions our team to work with autonomy to move the company forward.
Other criteria will include:
- Experience leading a company through funding rounds
- Experience taking a company into new markets or territories
- Experience increasing sales and demonstrating growth
- Strong understanding of business finances: how they work, what numbers mean and the impact that they have on business operations
You might also have experience with some of the following:
- A hardware business so you come with knowledge of manufacturing, import and export.
- A software business: you understand how software processes and teams work together and how pricing impacts our finances.
- Noisy industry – this will give you a good idea of our customer base – Construction, Manufacturing, Civil Infrastructure are all places that we’re familiar with but there are many other industries who use hearing PPI that we should potentially explore.
