Sorry to miss this yesterday Ella. Any further thoughts that came out of the talk? In a way, as an architect I am always a freelancer, but the role does have elements that are less freelance and more a traditional framework.

Hi Duncan, no problem at all. We mainly discussed where to find jobs as a freelancer, how to stand your ground with pay, and pitching to potential clients. I’ve spent the last 2.5 years feeling like a freelancing novice, but your question has prompted me to acknowledge that maybe I am a freelancing pro – just specifically at doing it in a way which works for me, which I have to admit has meant ignoring a lot of very wise advice! Ask me again in 12 months time and we can see if I’m right?

Hi Natalie- I think that’s maybe what being a freelancing pro is- knowing the freelancing advice that’s out there, but figuring out a way to work that best suits you!
