Introducing our first #TPCInnovators post, where we ask YOU our wonderful community some questions to find out more about who you are and what you do – first up is the lovely Iain Hunter
Tell us about yourself Iain!
“I run a business improvement and growth consultancy that works predominantly with SME owners, stakeholders and senior management teams to increase business performance, results and value. I’ve worked in London, New York, Melbourne, Sydney and Hong Kong, and the constant thread throughout my career has been building businesses and brands. Colleagues and clients describe me as personable, tenacious, loyal, bold and composed. I’m a glass half-full guy with a sleeves-rolled-up working style – I’m innately creative, an incorrigible networker and an enthusiastic writer.”
What’s your favourite thing about having a portfolio career?
“I love the flexibility of what I do – the ever-changing daily exposure to great ideas, the clever people and all that untapped talent.”
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever received?
“If you want to do big, you have to think big.”
What’s the one thing you would tell someone beginning their portfolio career?
“Be patient and persistent. It takes a while to put all the pieces of the jigsaw into place, and that’s an ongoing process.”
Thanks so much to Iain for sharing your story!
Make sure you reach out, connect and say hi
And lastly, we’d love to know, what’s the best piece of career advice you ever received?
