I enjoy being part of The Portfolio Collective. If you didn’t know that already (or know of me, which is astonishing, but it’s okay), then you do now.
The community tops the list of everything I like about TPC. It’s given me great conversations, a sense of belonging, and some exceptional guests for my podcast.
The latest episode of The Maximum Project features Rob Wright (Rob Wright), a resilience specialist who I met through TPC. One conversation with Rob is enough to see the optimism, calm clarity, confidence, and belief that drive his mission to inspire and support resilience in people. I think it’s a valuable cause, even more so given the last couple of years we’ve had. We can often confuse resilience with other popular ’coping skills’ like grit, endurance, patience, tolerance, or resolve, but here’s a question worth asking. Should we really be gritting our teeth through life?
In this episode, we talk about Rob’s experience and understanding of strife, inspiration, distress, compassion, and, of course, resilience.
Happy holidays. I hope you have an exceptional time.
