Global Head of IT for Siemens Energy Solutions
I drove large scale digital and systems transformation projects across local, regional, and global levels. Directed & delivered global IT services for 3700+ employees in 40 countries, six vertical markets for business with 1B+ € revenue p.a. for SE Solutions, a business unit of Siemens Energy.
Led IPO IT separation activities for SE Solutions business globally
Separation of all SE IT was legally required impacting 106 countries, 4500+ applications, architecture, and all other IT elements – all within a 16-month window and COVID lockdown. Successful business operational continuity for approx. 1000+ applications/platforms directly used by SE Solutions.
SE & SE Solutions become a data driven business
Collaborative working with Central IT, SE House of Digitalization, and other teams across the business to generate innovative digital solutions for people, processes, tools, data across the global business unit. Drove digital innovation and services as a cross-functional change agent.
Moving to the Cloud with Sales Force.com
Oversaw strategic migration from SAP CRM platform to SalesForce Sales & Services clouds within carve out window, resulting in savings of 320k€/100% reuse of processes and 510k€/60% reuse of processes respectively.
SAP - the ever changing heart of the Enterprise
Involved in numerous SAP migrations/implementations, including SAP HANA. Delivered one of the first Customer Data Hub based on SAP'S Master Data Management (MDM) solution in UK government. Oversaw several ERP/SCM separations & migrations. (ie cost & productivity savings in DE of 1.5M€ in 1 project)
Business Process management - on a global scale
Facilitated move from proprietary, legacy & monolithic IT landscape to data driven digital framework based on the value driver of end-to-end process collaboration & integration. Built, managed, and expanded internal digital ecosystem across the end-to-end processes value chain (CRM, ERP, PLM, LCM+)
The Falcon Data Centre takes flight
As part of the IPO carve out, managed the creation of a highly strategic & critical German military grade data centre, a 2M€ project delivered on time, spec, and budget. Closely worked with internal Cyber Security team to embed critical ISEC requirements for the highly secure data.
Fielden house - a green field IT implementation for manufacturing
A personal first! Green field IT implementation of SITL Fielden House (Teal Park, Lincoln UK) – a 7000 sqm state-of-art global
services site, combining office & factory. Incorporated SAP location tools, robotics and bar code tracking at all stages through the building.
