The role

Reporting to the Finance Director (FD) with significant exposure to the management team, this is a key role in supporting and driving business growth through quality reporting and robust & insightful financial analysis. The candidate will start on a part-time basis (20-25 hours per week) with the potential to switch to full-time as the business grows.


Key responsibilities

Reporting:

  • Support the development of new reporting infrastructure for the business and work towards a collaborated model.
  • Ownership of monthly reporting, improving and maintaining quality and standards.
  • Provision of key commentary providing insightful, accurate and complete data to FD and CFO.

Business Partner & FP&A

  • Develop and maintain an annual budget, monthly rolling forecasts, budget vs. actual analysis and periodical update of the Business Plan. Highlight trends, investigate variances, recommend corrective actions where appropriate and provide insightful analysis.
  • Collaborate with the wider team on new project pricing and profitability analysis.
  • Support the KPI dashboards to improve business intelligence and decision-making.

Adhoc:

  • Work closely with the FD and COO to support fundraising, including but not limited to due diligence, investor relations and regulatory work.
  • Provide financial insight, analysis and guidance to Senior Management and the Board to support strategic decision-making.
  • Support the financial year-end audit and tax compliance review.

Must haves

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or equivalent level of experience
  • Strong financial modelling skills (Excel)
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Experience in producing detailed, high-quality financial analysis to support executive decision-making
  • Formidable energy and drive, able to work effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Proactive – someone able to take initiative and independently drive work from idea stage to completion
  • Accurate and methodical with attention to details

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate complex financial information to non-financial colleagues
  • High skills, low ego, self-motivated. Flexible to work in ambiguity to support the long-term mission

Remuneration

c.£65,000 (FTE equivalent) with opportunity to join our EMI plans
