    TPC Friends,

I finally launched my site, ”Brand Your Story Online”: http://www.brandyourstoryonline.com

I’d love your expert eyes on it + your feedback. I’m willing to take a look at your site and do a feedback for feedback trade as well.

Thanks for all the good energy and momentum we’ve built together. 4 weeks ago I had an unclear offer and no site. Now we’re live!

    • Nice job Mitch Bradford. Can you make the video examples clickable videos, rather than screenshots? I wanted to see your work in action

    • Looks great Mitch! I love the graphics and message

    • It looks just like a power point, but I actually think this is not a bad think, might actually bring you a high conversion rate. As a User I want to click on the video but they are not clickable. I also would expect the final button to have a hover over effect so that I know it is clickable. And the instagram link at the top goes to squarespace, which I guess is the software you used to create the website, right?

    • Mitch, I think a lot of us are looking for predictable ways of increasing revenue by outbound. Do you know how we could learn the salesleap method? I did not find much on youtube about the method. Is SalesLeap similar to ComX.io and salesprocess.io?

    • Clear message and proposition, well done!

A few extra notes from my side, sorted by how important I think they are.

      – Text-based content: is better to use text instead of images to present your content, making it crawlable and searchable. Similarly, you should use headings to tell search engines and social media how to render the previews of your website.

      – Mobile friendly: because you’ve used images the page is not being properly displayed in mobile, this will be automatically fixed once you switch to text-based content.

      – Logo size: it looks too small, in desktop feels like a functional icon and in mobile is difficult to see.

      – Clickable videos: I agree with Ben, when seeing a screenshot of a video, instinctively your visitors will try to click it to see more.

      – Colour code: I appreciate your brand’s accent colour is blue but words in blue are related with links, it might be better to use a different way to highlight the text (easiest alternatives I can see would be to switch colour, or to highlight the text with a blue background – similarly as you did on the first section).

A couple links that might be interesting:

      • I’m going to work on the clickable videos. The beauty of a MVP is you make lots of mistakes! I used images as I have more control over the design and font choices. Do you think Squarespace text inserts will let me get the design control I want. Thanks for your help Jesus Iniesta

    • Hey Mitch. First words of wisdom: ’accept criticism as a gift’. Brave first move putting yourself out there. My critique is possibly harsh, but I want you to be the best you can, so hopefully this may help.

    • Lets try again- damn I hate that return button! 1.) If you use Hollywood writer you must ensure your script is 100% perfect. You have used ’you’ instead of ’your’. 2.) the name is too long and even you got it wrong on this site. I would prefer this as a tag and you name as in MBStudios or Mitchfilming. 3.) If you are promoting yourself as an online brand guru your site needs to be slicker than slick. I think you would be better going with a standard wix template and have the standard tabs. 4.) Ditch the word ’asset’. It’s a buzz word which is overly used and non descriptive. ’we shoot your assets’ sounds more like taking a gun to an employee. ’get your assets locked in’ again it has little meaning . 5.) Go to market assets- not sure this section is needed.

    • Bugger! Hit that return again. If it were me, my focus would be more on your professional filming ability. I wouldn’t refer to my assets, but expand on my ability to produce professional quality promo videos using state of the art filming equipment. You have a very marketable and likeable face. I would want to see this on the opening page in the form of a video. ’Hi I’m Mitch, my expertise is in making your brand, company or product (not asset) shine on line. Why diminish your brand and compromise on poor quality production. As a member of the Hollywood writers guild I will ensure your story is scripted and honed to truly reflect your brand values. Poor video and editorial promotion is like shooting yourself in the foot. We have helped numerous start-ups present themselves in a professional manner. Don’t short change your next funding round or marketing promo……………………………………………………You don’t necessarily have to go into detail about the process. Just give examples of bad videos and where yours is different. i.e. lighting, sound quality, script. Poorly delivered message. Give stats on poorly made content result versus good. Even throw in a few names. You don’t need to have worked with them, but it may make people. i.e. they companies received x million in funding. How did they do it? They did it through not only having a great product, but investing in a pro to deliver that message through the media of professional film/video. Hope you can take some positives. Happy to discuss at some point. atb. steve

      • GGGrrrr!! Did it again. I think the simpler the better. Your online video of you should be along the lines of: I’m your go-to man for promotional videos. If I can’t sell you my brand Mitch in the next 30 seconds then there is no point in hiring me. By the end of this commercial you should know: who I am, what I’m selling, why I’m the best, what it will do for you, and how investing in me will pay back 10 fold. It will immediately give them confidence in you. If you can give video examples of muffled sound versus bose style quality and poor image versus hd. This will help. I think the story/script part comes later. Sorry probably should have emailed.😁

    • A bit late to the Hollywood party but congrats Mitch – getting something out there and open to feedback is an impressive feat. I like it – clean simple and explains well. Like others, I wanted to click on the videos. And I don’t see why you would have the other stuff on the other side of the CTA to click an appointment as I like to browse.

I really LOVE how you talk to your customer and their problem though. There is also more in the benefit for me of getting it scripted shot and done in two days and so you could explain that a little more.
