Callum Denyer posted in the group The Community
Greetings!
My name is Callum and I am the co-founder and CEO of WHYNESS, an AI-driven startup that helps jobseekers find fulfilling work.
I am excited to join this community and share my story about WHYNESS and how it can help jobseekers find their path…
WHYNESS is a new early careers model that benefits both candidates and employers. We create personalised graduate programmes that help young jobseekers launch impact-driven careers. Our AI-powered digital platform helps users identify the unique impact they can have on the world based on who they are and what motivates them.
Unlike traditional graduate programmes, we rotate candidates through multiple employers to supercharge their self-awareness, improve early careers choices, and empower employers to find the perfect people to grow their business.
We believe in empowering graduates to find fulfillment and providing a more reliable way for employers to find the perfect people to help grow their business.
As Future of Work pioneers, it’s great to be connected with The Portfolio Collective community. I look forward to hearing your thoughts and ideas and learning more about how your portfolio careers.

This is absolutely fantastic Callum! I’m sure I’m not the only one who thinks I made some mistakes early in my career that I would do differently if I went back! Can only imagine how powerful this is going to be for young people in the future of work, really support you!

Thank you Emily! I really appreciate your encouragement and support :). If you or any employers / investors in your network are interested to learn more, I am of course very happy to connect to discuss further

An initial observation Callum is that pulling together topical business themes under an umbrella does not of itself a business made. All that said after working with c100 startups I also didn’t think that one called Solar Water PLC would make it big …I advised it/Malcolm Aw it’s founder through early stages and it got funded quite recently at a valuation of £50m.
I’m at the Houses of Parliament today (Monday 23rd) at a Hearing on AI chaired by Lord Clement Jones. Happy to catch up sometime if that appeals. I’m at [email protected]

That’s such a great idea. I started on a big corporate graduate training programme but I’d be lost today as a graduate.

This looks great Callum Denyer, are you partnering with any schools or business schools who want to help their graduates find work? Or how do you find cadidates, who’s in your sweetspot?
-
Hi Lara, yes we are currently partnering with a few university careers departments. But always on the look out for more ! We find our candidates through a combination of partnerships, ”guest lectures”, and direct targeted outreach. We’re also hoping to start doing more organic content creation on social media. We’re continuously exploring and testing different engagement channels – any advice / intro’s / support welcome 🙂

Great to have you in the community Callum Denyer. Having spoke to Cullum recently re WHYNESS, I can see where this technology would be hugely required!
Caoimhe Kelly works in the student/university space and Iain Hunter could be a great one to chat to as well!
