Following on from our Pathfinder call, I think this might be a good place to continue the BD/branding conversations as we’ll be discussing the best channels to build your brand, differentiating between personal and professional brands, sharing your authentic self in your branding – and of course, so much more!
Tagging Pete Domican Eike Post Duncan Dalzel-Job Tracey Rob Perera Deepshikha Yadav Ciaran Walsh Monsuru Sodeeq Pavitter Mainn in case it’s of interest!

There won’t be a recording, but we will be taking notes to share with the community afterwards so I’ll make sure to tag you when they go out. Well keep that challenge in mind for when we’re asking questions too!

It varies for me, as long as my laptop has power I can work anywhere. If the weather is good I could work in the local park for an hour or so. Cafes are nice when they’re not crazy busy. Libraries are a good quiet place to get things done. Just depends on the mood as well.

I’m the same JaRoy! Depending on what work I’m doing I like to work in different environments

In my town centre office, which is about half an hour’s walk from home. If I’m not there, I’m on my kitchen table.
Haven’t yet found out if I enjoy working on my laptop in public spaces yet. Haven’t needed to. Walking meetings in our spectacular local park a few yards from my office is as far as I’ve got so far…

Tonight’s Let’s Talk was intimate in numbers and that made for all the better conversation I think! Great to discuss different ways of working and living – the real crux of the conversation lay in how we not only approach work vs life but also online vs offline where more freedom can be found in setting stricter boundaries on how we use our time rather than necessarily ”how much” is either work or life defined.
We spoke about lots of different things, but the biggest aha moment for me was listening to Eike Post talk about time management and recording – particularly with the time-boxing method in mind. You can read more about that in this article: https://www.nirandfar.com/timeboxing/

I’m also really grateful to Rebecca Beck for recommending (and reminding me about) James Clear’s Atomic Habits (https://jamesclear.com/atomic-habits) and for the wonderful discussion that Pete Domican Sue Coulthard Ella Bernie brought to the group too.

Can’t make it tomorrow but hopefully there’s a recording. I think the real thought challenge for me is that I can do a lot of disparate things is whether/how to tie that together or split it up and market it separately.
