To give you all a little more time to finish (or start in some cases!) Susan David’s Emotional Agility we’re going to postpone our next book club to Wednesday 25th of August
Don’t say we don’t treat you!
So if you haven’t begun reading yet, now is your chance to start- take this summer to sit back, relax and reflect on Susan David’s ideas to help prepare for a busy rest of the year
As we are postponing we thought we’d also share this quiz https://www.susandavid.com/quiz. It only takes about 5 minutes to fill out and you can receive a free Emotional Agility report based on your answers! Let us know what you think!
To book for book club on the 25th of August click the link here: http://staging.the-portfolio-collective.com/events/the-collective-shelf-book-club/?swcfpc=1 -it would be great to see you there

Really enjoying this book but still part way through so glad I have extra time. If anyone has any simple note taking / summary specifically for books/podcasts or implemented Ryan Holiday’s system in a simplified analogue with digital manner – would love your thoughts…

I haven’t but I’m really intrigued by Ryan Holiday’s system now I’ve looked it up! I do lean on Blinkist to get a simple summary where needed or to jump into the main ideas before diving into the book. Stephanie Dotto – do you have a system you use whilst studying?

Lexi Radcliffe-Hart Janis Chan I think my style of study is really similar to the notecard system – though my version is much more digital as years of using solely a computer have made my handwriting nearly illegible! I underline any points that stand out or spark any ideas and I type them up in themed documents, either via Google Docs or in the Notes app on my phone if I have any ideas on the fly. I also write down the broader thoughts that come to me off the back of my reading on post-its and stick those on my wall. I find that re-typing (or handwriting if you prefer) those really poignant bits from your reading help the ideas stick in your mind much longer.
