Happy Halloween everyone 🎃👻
I’ve decided to stick to the ”scary” theme of the day (very tentatively!) for this week’s question and ask…
What scared you most about starting a portfolio career?
Let’s chat in the comments below 🌟

Good question! Most probably the prospect of going out there alone and being responsible for finding the work!
-
Great question! For me, it’s probably protecting your time – as you stop getting paid when you stop working, you can have an ”always on” mentality.
-
Nice question Ella Bernie. For me it was being seen as in semi-retirement, as opposed to proactively reinventing industries.
-
Very nice and timely question!
Most scary – to suddenly have a good excuse to work on a gazillion projects at the same time. For a ”ooh, new shiny object!” – personality that can be a bit dangerous.

Hmmm nuanced here. I’d say experienced from my corporate life, but a newbie when it comes to portfolio :)…

That’s a really interesting way of thinking about it Lara for sure… I guess it might feel more difficult when it comes to your portfolio career because it’s maybe more personal than in corporate! Thanks for sharing!
