I did some looking into this. it only applies if you have ltd, not if you are set up as sole trader. I have been on one IR35 talk delivered by Iraj Idafar an accountant. the talk was fantastic and gave me good insight, talked about some of the myths, why it is hard to be outside IR35, what are some consequences, and he also gave great examples of what did and didnt stand in court. perhaps TPC could organise such a talk? maybe one of the members here has this knowledge, alternatively I can enquir…

Keeping a clear mind when juggling with multiple clients and projects by yourself is of extreme importance, but it isn’t always easy.
A few weeks ago Cara de Lange shared with the community a few different ways to help us keeping a clear focus and staying motivated, which in the current circumstances is probably more relevant than ever before.
Lexi Radcliffe-Hart posted an article summarising some of them (http://staging.the-portfolio-collective.com/how-to-keep-a-clear-focus-and-stay-motivated/) which I highly recommend reading, it also contains the video recording of Cara’s session and a link to her PortfolioCast interview.

One of Cara de Lange’s recommendations to stay clearly focused and motivated is to use #microwellness breaks: 1-5 minutes activities to give mind and body a rest throughout the day.
The way I personally take advantage of micro wellness breaks is through meditation, for which I sometimes use the help of Headspace (a very useful app that, amongst other things, offers thoughtful guided meditation).
How do you use micro wellness breaks?
P.S. For those who know Headspace and for those who don’t, they are now on Netflix! https://www.headspace.com/netflix

Some members were asking if the Google Meet links that Google Calendar is adding by default to every event created can be disabled; the main reason being that the default behaviour often results in calendar events having two links, e.g., a Zoom link in the description plus a prominent Google Meet button at the top.
This is how the default behaviour is disabled (it can also be removed or added when creating individual events):

Thanks @jesus. I am still not sure I fully understand the implications, and have heard from several members that they don’t either. Can anyone else help illuminate us? If not, maybe we should have a discussion with experts in the next few weeks
