Accountability buddy: Does anyone want to join an accountability group? Up to 4 people. One on one meetings twice a month via Zoom. 50 minutes. Topics: 1. What is the progress? 2. What are goals. 3. What are questions, doubts or anything where you need help on.
-
could you please reply with your email so that I could create a Gmail Invite. For me the best to day to reflect and without business meetings is Sunday. Could you do every second Sunday late afternoon?
-
Thanks Eike Post that’s so kind of you. I’m going to repost this to the Catapult Graduate Community group too following on from our call today!

Really nice initiative, Eike Post. Have you looked at any tools to help with accountability?

these apps are pretty full-on Jesus! StickK in particular, but they seem really effective.

I have been approached by the CEO of Excell Group, a £40m revenue technology company who help businesses with their software, IT infrastructure, security and more.
They have asked us to round up a diverse group of portfolio professionals for a discussion about new and future working habits – of companies such as our clients – plus their product/ service needs. So we need people focused on the future of the office, collaboration, communication needs, productivity, and more. We are planning a 60 minute brainstorm on the subject and I am hoping to pull in 5-6 people from our community (or people who belong in our community but haven’t joined yet).
Any takers or suggestions? Duncan Dalzel-Job Andrew Daly Eike Post Paul David Mather @mike Anuraag Jain Santi Ureta Brian Mooney

Hey Ben, Nisha Ramchandani is a former colleague of mine who has spent the best part of the last 4-5 years focused on researching the future of work. She also writes a regular column for a media outlet and hosts a podcast on similar topics. I reckon she’d be a good addition.

Linh posted in the group The Community
Dear inspiring people! Are there any SEO experts who can help me with my website, blogs, writing, to be more SEO-friendly (www.vietlinhle.com)? I would much appreciate any support and guidance, and am happy to offer Coaching in return 🙂 Thanks a lot and sending love for this weekend! Linh x

Greetings. I’m not exactly an SEO expert, but I have fiddled with it for about 13 years.
At first glance, I can see that your name is Vietnamese, and that you set your website up with your name, plus ’Viet’. Depending on your audience, it could be hard for them to find you if they are terrible at spelling, and trust me, most people are terrible at spelling!
I know a guy from Poland, and his name was Matt Jeziorski, but most of his clients were not Polish. He identified …

Thank you very much for your time and feedback, Ice! (Is this your real name? xD) Really good thoughts, thank you! I have already set everything up with my name, so I will leave it for now 🙂 it is a good reminder to look into the SEO stuff that Wix (my website host) has to offer! Awesome, you reached Russia through this! 😀

Our very own Stephanie Dotto might be just who you are looking for Linh! She has done a wonderful job for TPC!

I used to dig this guy Brian Dean for SEO years ago as speaking the most sense in a lot of noise https://backlinko.com/

Today marks World Health Day, and at TPC we’re considering how we can introduce healthier habits into our working lives.
What is your top tip for creating better work-from-home habits?
Let us know in the comments below and look out for our article later today on this very subject!

I’ll go first! I often live very ”all or nothing”, and forming habits can make the rebel in me come out to play! But I know that there are small actions that can really make a difference to my health and my working life. Introducing more ”greenery” into my office has definitely helped (thanks to Duncan Dalzel-Job’s great home office tips) and I like to try to move during the day as I often find hours go by without me doing so! Now the weather has warmed up, i…

Having a dedicated work space where possible is really useful to maintain separation from home. I also find wearing my regular work clothes also help. Definitely agree re plants! and also a good supply of water to drink 🙂
-
Drinking more water is something I really need to work on! Great points, Toni Mitchell. Thanks for sharing.
-
-
For me, I 100% agree with Toni! Trying to only work in one area of the house and keeping a full bottle of water near is a must (I love water, so that one wasn’t tricky!) Cara de Lange talk on wellbeing has also made me more conscious of taking ’micro-breaks’ and looking away from my screen more. I also need to give a massive shoutout to Robina Sutch for inspiring my daily walks -although sometimes they’re a lot shorter than I’d like haha, they are undoubtedly a new high…
-
I schedule at least one call in the morning and one in the afternoon that are phone-only (i.e. Zoom free) so that I can go for a walk in the park. Great for 1:1s that don’t require screen sharing, or general catch-ups with Fiona Chorlton-Voong Jesus Iniesta @mike and others. You can get 4,000 steps in 30 minutes if you walk fast, so that is 8,000 steps per day ’base load’
-
How quickly do you walk, Ben Legg?!! Though I do love the walking-call initiative too.
-
-
I agree with Ben Legg re ensuring that enough of my meetings are calls so that I can go on a daily walk. Someone gave me the great tip of ensuring I put “away from desk” meeting in the calendar so the other party knows they can go for a walk too. My other must is ensuring I have a dedicated break in the day to meditate so I can reset. Otherwise I would just jump from meeting to meeting mindlessly. Having that space to reflect and breathe is so important. I’m on a streak on my headspace an…
-
I’m really strict about separating my work hours from my personal hours. I think it’s important not to let the two blend because that can lead to bad habits down the line. I also exercise regularly and make sure to take plenty of breaks throughout the day so I’m not sitting for 8 hours straight. I make sure to create time for the things I’m passionate about, ensuring a balance between my professional duties and my hobbies so that I don’t feel like I’m missing …
-
I have a morning routine where I meditate, journal, think and usually get a Peloton exercise class in most days. Then I think the healthiest thing I do on autopilot is my diet. I have salad everyday, tumeric shots, fermented foods… you name it. I really notice if I veer off that or have too much coffee!

*Monday reminder for all Catapult graduates!*
At 4pm (GMT/UK time) today, you can join us for your weekly catch-up session!
We’re now five cohorts strong! This makes the catch-up an excellent opportunity for networking as well as bringing your thoughts, ideas and challenges to the table.
You don’t need to come with questions or thoughts prepared for these sessions. Previously we’ve found that hearing others talk through their plans can often spark an idea for your own portfolio career, and it’s always nice to see what others have been up to. This session is also a great place to set accountability for your goals.
Do check out the info on our Catapult Graduate Community Group – http://staging.the-portfolio-collective.com/collective/groups/catapult-graduate-community/ where these discussions can continue too.
Looking forward to seeing you at 4pm GMT!
