Hey all.
Particularly those in Cohort 2, but also everyone else who has listened to me question / drone on whilst I straighten a few things out and pull in a few others who will be able to support should I unearth more than just the odd undemanding client 🙂
Anyway, just to say – as you may have missed it and these things disappear in the blink of an eye on LIn – here’s a post I sent out yesterday:

I’m very happy to be ’out there’ and it’s the start of what I think must be my 5th career! Kind of a linear portfolio 😉
And there’ll be a couple of other strings to my bow soon as well. Onwards with the lessons from Module 7…!
Anyway, THANKYOU steven reader, Jenny Collins, Ben Legg Laura Thomas @mike Drummond Gilbert Paul David Mather Adam Park Regina Dundelova Duncan Dalzel-Job Nicola Twiston Davies Peter Allen,…

So important to have this sort of inspiration in uncertain times. These motivating connections, even our brief chats, are what make TPC so good.

Hi Lexi… I won’t be able to join the You-Volution thing next week… but in answer to your question.
TPC, and Catapult in particular, has energised me to
– get off my butt,
– better understand what I can and want to do, how I want to do it and potentially with whom
– explore a bit of depth about the WHY?
– be open and kick things around with some good contacts… and this great cohort
– get practical and build something
– always remember to take a risk and give it a go… very easy to forget in corporate life, unless your RM is foolproof!
– not be worried about being embarrassed if it sounds unfeasible to others!
– get out there a start to talk to people about it
– … now work out how I can build in offshore sailing into this portfolio somehow!
Understanding we’re all mostly in similar boats – IE with a mindset to do different – is a very good feelin…

This is fab Malcolm – thanks for sharing. Regarding Catapult and our community getting less personal as it scales, I agree that is a risk. We will strive to do everything we can to avoid it, for example by creating bonds within cohorts that last beyond courses, and ensuring the platform ensures lots of small groups to collaborate and support each other.
