  • What are secrets of agile we all use to help our success, flow, journey and agility as professionals pursuing portfolio careers?

  • ”The 5 Myths of Agility” is a way I typically get a dialog going with CEOs/Execs. This is a version from a teaming with Dale Carnegie of Orange County (South Los Angeles) where I am helping them supplement their foundational trainings with an Agility practice for custom public and private/client programs.

  • We had a great ”Let’s Talk” session on May 24th 2022 and here are screen grabs of the polls. While a small sample size, the poll questions and responses provide a nice window into the dialog. Afterwards, Ella suggested we start a group here in the TPC Community to evolve a dialog for those who are interested. So here goes! We are glad you are here and look forward to interacting with you.

  • Hello again all … thanks for your interest, feedback and suggestions on my Mike 6.0 pdf down below in the activity feed. It is a crazy-making labyrinth journey inwards and outwards simultaneously isn’t it! I’ve been at it for 20 years and am still not done, so I want to encourage you all to stick at it for 20 years! … you will never be done, not least of all because the goal posts keep moving and magnetic north keeps drifting.

I took away Alastair and Ben’s challenge of a simple/succinct phrase along the lines of the 2 examples Ben gave … ”Alex promotes weird brands” … ”(I didn’t catch the name) teaches teambuilding through gaming” … so here are a few candidates on my shortlist from my longer list of brainstorming …

    1. Mike coaches and facilitates agility in the C-Suite … I could say ”teaches” but I call myself a CEO Coach & Facilitator and do a lot more than just teach w…

    • Mike, I suggest there is one more ingredient that would improve your pitch further – the result

Using pitch 1 (which is the most succinct in my personal view), if you added your outcome to the pitch, you will have answered the who, what and why

I’m not saying this is necessarily the right response, but hopef…

      • Thx Alastair … yes, indeed, and I get into those outcomes (cash-flow/share-price, profitability and growth) in my longer doc … this was more Ben’s challenge of the most distilled form of the ”what” Mike does along the lines of the two examples. Great input regardless. Thanks again. Best.

    • I have a long rambling response; will message you directly if that’s ok?!

    • Mike – not quite sure if this is branding or value prop. If it is branding refer to the excellent Fiona Chorlton-Voong or @alexpitt otherwise for value proposition construction, I am your man.

      • Thx Zed … yeah, been doing all of that heavy lifting work (in the Mike 6.0 pdf) coming out of the Branding Masterclass and Catapult and this was just accepting Ben’s challenge of the most succinct description of ”what” I do. Thanks so much.

    • Hello again all … thanks again so much for all of your input/dialog on my Mike 6.0 narrative. All a never ending labyrinth journey work in progress (for you too I am sure) and attached is a v2 of just the first page inclusive of … my succinct headliner (Ben’s challenge … plus some additional flesh/color which captures some of your great input/suggestions) … my why-statement (which I tweaked a little) … my brand-why-story (which I reconfigured to untangle/stra…
