Looking for: fractional finance director / accountant, for a small, early stage, revenue-generating startup in print media.
Finances are run through a business bank account and spreadsheets, annual accounts are outsourced. Founder needs someone to establish financial processes (invoicing/accounting software, VAT registration, day-to-day reporting), do ongoing financial administration, likely 2 days/month for now, and offer strategic financial advice as the company scales.
Please DM or tag recommending people you can vouch for.

Hi Paul,
I work with start-ups and early-stage companies, so I am very familiar with the initial setup, registrations and so on. Keen to learn more about the company and how I can be of assistance.

Calling any expats (non-Americans) working in NYC!
Hi, everyone. I’m British and currently based in Antigua, West Indies, as a freelance leadership coach and ops consultant for mainly UK-based startups and scale-ups. Before that I was employee no. 15 at (now public) foodtech Deliveroo, and I started my career as a British Army officer.
For various personal reasons, I’m contemplating a change of scene and am open to new opportunities. Having just visited for the first time in 12 years and loved it, one destination I’m researching is NYC.
I would really appreciate advice from:
1) Non-Americans who work / have worked in NYC as self-employed.
2) Non-Americans who work / have worked in NYC as an employee.
3) Americans who work / have worked in NYC and can offer any pointers or introductions with respect to my situation, or know any 1s or 2s.
Many thanks in advance!
Cheers,
Paul

A good city to contemplate Paul David Mather – I used to live there and my wife is from NYC
Some expats in NYC that I can think of include Alex Underwood Ruth Walker Nikhil
A Brit who has lived in NYC (but now back in London) is Emily Ingram
And an American who has lived in London (but now back in NYC) and may be able to help is Anastasia Trifonoff

Are you an entrepreneur or want to be? Are you interested in acquiring a ready-to-grow startup helping older people use technology?
Like me, you’ve probably had plenty of calls from parents or grandparents frustrated with their devices. Data from NHS Digital show 11.9 million people in the UK lack basic digital skills. Those left behind by technology suffer with low productivity, lack of confidence and loneliness.
Two founders I coach have spent 2+ years designing an accessible solution to that problem, taking the business from 0-1. For personal reasons alone, they have chosen to step away at this stage and are looking for a buyer who wants to take it from 1-10.
The business has:
B2C subscribers, and a database of potential customers
B2B partnerships, with big names in the healthy aging space
Profitable and scalable unit economics out of the gate
Established brand and search presence
4.7/5 stars from 220 reviews
Slick website, with integrated custom video c…

Hi all! I recently invested in Kwikpay, for whom I’m also a board advisor. Kwikpay are leveraging QR code technology to quickly and affordably upgrade coin-operated vending/gaming/utility machines, allowing retailers/operators to offer customers simple cashless payment, gather valuable data, and optimise their revenue with special offers and loyalty discounts. They’re currently raising £350k, with £150k still to go. Deck attached for any angel investors. Happy to intro and answer questions.

If you’ve never written a mini-bio of your career, it’s pretty enlightening and I’d recommend it.
