Thanks Peter – I have been approaching people on LinkedIn and had a few people express interest. There are people out there who have a side-hustle to pay the bills, who love the idea of getting in at the co-founder stage (with generous stock too). Fingers crossed ….

posted a new activity commentI have worked with all of Big 5 – Egon Zehnder, Korn Ferry, Russell Reynolds, Spencer Stuart, Heidrick & Strugglles, plus lots of the similar-quality boutiques focused on tech/ startups, such as True Capital, Gordon & Eden, Heads International etc. Both as client and candidate. They are all capable of great work, but it depends on the individual more than the firm. They are all overpriced too, in my opinion.

*Googles Fractional CMO* – ahhh a CMO who consults between multiple clients. Makes sense – a lot of businesses don’t need a full time CMO. Not surprised to see that TikTok has become a major acquisition platform

My two cents; The job spec reads pretty normal / well. The javascript / React want is pretty normal. Not being able to pay a salary is an issue though – this is a candidate’s market and tech leaders are hard to engage at the best of times (not natural networkers, get hammered by approaches from different recruiters).
It’s not going to be easy filling this without a salary and (presumably) without being able to pay a recruiter to help.
Unless you can find someone strong …
