It’s not yet resolved, but I was able to speak to a legal eagle who was able to refine my expectations, which helped me make some key decisions at the time. Many thanks for asking, Ray…!

Rob Wright posted in the group Coaches and Mentors
If you haven’t yet heard of or signed up for the free WBECS Summit (three weeks of tips, insights & conversations around the latest thinking in coaching) then you should jump in now.
All sessions accessed via Zoom, & there’s a lot of outstanding content lined up. So once registered, run down the list & earmark the ones you’re interested in. This activates e-mail reminders & lets you download & add calendar entries, too. Recordings will be available online for a short time.
I’ve been enjoying this summit for a few years now & have managed to catch one session so far this year. Looking forward to catching up on those I’ve missed this w/e.
None of the speakers are pitching their stuff. It’s all content you can use today. And there’s an online community where you can have chats with other delegates as well as ask questions of the speakers for a day or so after their session.
If interested, week one’s alread…

So enjoyed the TPC round table discussion on resilience tonight. Felt like a luxury listening to a room full of views on what folk felt resilience is & their experiences of being resilient. So good!
Talking about how to be more resilient, we touched on a LOT of ground in one short hour:
– staying curious
– staying connected to wonder & transcendence
– truth-telling
– self-awareness
– being present enough to notice when we’re in the stretch
– reframing challenge, change & complexity as opportunity instead of a threat
– radical acceptance; accepting the unacceptable & thinking the unthinkable
– utilising both inner & outer resources
– identity; remembering who we are
– accountability (processing with others)
– perspective
– kindness & self-compassion
– perfectionism
– taking action
– staying connected to our values
– holding space for ourselves & others to pause, pr…

It’s always good fun talking to people who make me think. So when new contact of mine Adarsh Nalam invited me to chat on an episode of his Maximum Project podcast, my expectation was that I’d want to be taking notes.
If rule #1 is read your notes, rule #2 has to be make sure you’ve got some notes worth reading! And sure enough, some things were said that had me busy scribbling.
When inspiration strikes, you’ve got to act fast. So if I sound a little distracted occasionally, now you know why!
If you’re at all curious about why resilience as a personal development discipline is important & how it can help us with improving our day-to-day performance & the quality of our lives, this wide-ranging conversation will definitely help.
But do have a listen & let me know what you think. What was your biggest takeaway from our wide-ranging conversation?
The link’s in Adarsh’s post below…
(Apologies for the sound quality a…
