Growing up, I was often labelled the ‘model student’. Surprisingly, this metaphorical badge didn’t come from my parents. It was self-prescribed. The pressure I put on myself was immense to try and be perfect. I needed to keep my straight...

Happy 2022 Everyone!
Do you like resolutions? I personally am not a fan.
I wanted to share with the TPC community a free opportunity that I am hoping can provide a different perspective on the new year.
It is a virtual exhibition of the Japanese calligraphy tradition of Kaki-zome (書き初め), one of the most important traditions in Japanese calligraphy (Shodo 書道) – and translates to ”first writing (of the year)”. We set our yearly intention during this tradition by writing a character (ji・字) piece.
I’m hosting a FREE Kaki-zome exhibition that covers Japanese calligraphy, how it ties into wellness and mindfulness, and the beauty of complete presence (mushin 無心) through this moving meditation that may be of benefit to you all as you kick-off 2022.
Hope to see you there!

Hi everyone – thank you for the well-wishes and support on this! The event went very well – with participants from over 10 countries, the feedback we have received on how helpful it was for individuals has been very motivating! If you wanted to experience this event, I am sharing the on-demand link here that can be viewed for free – if you do end up watching, please do let me know which calligraphy piece you decided on as your 2022 intention! https://zoom.us/rec/share/6iWHpAZV8…

Saori Okada posted in the group Coaches and Mentors
Hi everyone, Saori here! As I just joined this great community, I wanted to post here to introduce myself as I am very excited to be part of this community.
A little bit about me – I recently moved from NYC to London to start my own company after quitting my corporate job of 7 years in the digital/XP media and marketing analytics space. While my corporate background has been in Project Management & Customer Success, my passion has always been in wellness. I completed a certification to become a Certified Holistic Wellness Coach. I made the move 2-months to start my own company – Mogami – which is looking to redefine how wellness is defined. Powered by authentic Japanese wellness principles, the company’s mission is to empower individuals to achieve personally sustainable wellness lives.
I look forward to connecting with this group and hopefully meeting a few of you in person at the live London event next week to hear more about everyone’s stories…
