I’d recommend Dare to Lead by Brene Brown – not specific to start-ups but for first time leaders or leaders going into a new role, I think it sets a really excellent framework for management and company ethics.

I’d go for Essentialism by Greg McKeown. It’s a good re-read even if it’s been read before as it helps prioritise and help someone strategise – ultimately what a new CEO would need to do.
