It’s #WorldFinancialPlanningDay tomorrow
Sorting out your finances as a portfolio professional can be tricky – in fact, it’s probably one of the things we’re asked about the most
For this week’s poll we want to know, how confident do you feel about financial planning?
We’d love to hear about what you struggle with, solutions you’ve found and any questions you’d like to have answered, in the comments

One lesson I learned early is to build a “slow day” fund. Project work can be erratic and I often find it is feast or famine.
So, I have started to put aside funds that can be used during slow periods; usually about six months worth. This ensures that I have little stress during “famine” times.

That is such a good idea Nikhil, especially to combat stress during those slower months! We’ll be certainly using this as a bit of advice

A bit on the tech/tools side of things: I’ve just abandoned out-of-the-box personal finance tools to take full ownership of my finances using Airtable + Fintable (https://fintable.io/). This may not be everybody’s cup of tea, but if you value control over ease of use, Fintable is definitely something I recommend checking out 🙂
