Hi Fiona, yes and no. The quickest advice I can give it to use an outfit that already has this machined to a certain extent and avoids having to pay a writer a huge amount of money. Suggest that your mentee look at grant writers like Grantify https://grantify.io/ . Matching answers to questions specifically and compellingly (i.e. not waffle, which will be smoked out) is key and most of us would probably not get past the first cut in a competitive selection of grant winners.
